Wishing Well

by Unknown2Thyself   Jan 22, 2005

I look deep into the well,
And I see my reflection.
My haunting eyes,
staring back at me.
I can't even recognize myself,
from the girl I use to be.

With my eye's always shinning,
and no tears ever flowing.
With my smiles so bright,
and the vibrant glow around me.
But then the worst happened,
and I became someone different.

My eye's became haunted,
and tears started to flow.
My smiles could not be seen,
and the glow became no more.
My body knew nothing put pain,
and my world was different.

Now I stand looking in the well,
ready to make a wish.
A wish that would change,
change everything back to normal.
Make me back to me,
Not this pathetic little girl.

I through my penny in,
and close my eyes.
I picture me back to me,
and every things back to normal.
I wish my wish,
and open my eyes.
