Chocolate Addiction

by silentangelsdie   Jan 22, 2005

A red rose
Tempting in its beauty
The eternal light blinds youthful hearts
Always out of reach, just beyond our grasp
Envy flows like air, to the brain, to the heart
To want is inevitable; we all want a piece
When want changes to need the rose grows
Higher and further away, further out of reach
Its appeal is consuming; we yearn for it
It’s smooth complexion, the divine aroma
Arouses the senses, distorting emotions
A black rose seems red
With a scent of poisoned beauty you can almost taste
Ecstasy flows through the veins of the addict
A murky river, like chocolate blood
Until it stops, when it stops we are all free
Free from the all-consuming chains
Unhinged and alone tempting fate
Until we realise it is our fate.
It will never be gone, chocolate addiction is eternal.
