A Game of Chess by ~s3ns3sf@i|_

We are nothing but pawns
In this surreal game of chess
We call life
Manipulated by two opposing forces
Good and Evil
Right and Wrong
Sin and Forgiveness
Placed upon a board
Of deathtraps and hurt
All of which we call obstacles
To attain our true goal
The main problem is that
We ourselves can choose our side
Either that of Light or Dark
But cannot change our position
We are still nothing but pawns
Led by our knights and bishops and rooks
The Figurehead being our king
And the Most Important Piece
The Queen
Yet we as pawns realize
That though we cannot change our position
That if we strive and use our wits
And don’t make ourselves out to be cheap sacrifices
So that one side main gain the upper hand
That we may
Just maybe
Can become a Queen
