Why weren’t you there?
When I said I needed you,
It took me a lot of courage,
To ask you to stay back,
But it’ll take more to tell you,
I put my life on the line,
To let you know,
Yet you didn’t show up,
My heart breaks,
As it seems you don’t care,
How could you forget?
Something so important to me,
Now the day has past,
I tried to tell you, I really did,
But it’s too late, for it will happen again,
Before you even knew, what it was,
I guess it will have to wait,
For another day,
Were I can once again,
Work up my courage, and,
Put my life on the line.
