The End

Black as night,
Light as day,
Losing this fight,
And fading away,

Live for the day,
Die for the night,
Feeling this pain,
With nothing to gain,

Let me be,
So I can see,
What needs to be done,
Though it won’t be fun,

Cry in the corner,
Die in the doorway,
I don’t want to attend,
What feels like the end.
