The End

by rachel   Jan 23, 2005

She awaits in her room, frightened and scared
She knows what is coming, her skin to be bared
She’s taken too much; the world has done her wrong
She feels she’s been alive for far too long

The stillness and quiet comfort her soul
She prays no light will appear and rip her from her hole
Alone in her room, the beauty of the black
Her heart broken to pieces, she can’t add one more crack

Light enters the darkened room, her eyes look bloodshot
She tried once before, but got hurt when she fought
What has come, slowly enters her domain
This has to stop, she’s going insane
Not a person, not a monster but life itself has arrived
No, not the one she seeks, but from where she derived
Come to swallow her whole, no comfort in it all
No will to get up, she lets herself fall

Waiting for laughter and happiness, she lies in her room
The room full of loneliness and her dark gloom
Life can’t take her anymore, nothing has the will
She’s done away with pain, body and soul she did kill
