My depression

Every time i feel
lost, upset or depressed
I'll cut a small notch
upon my left wrist
then you'll see
how bad I've become
with how many notches
so soon i have done

As i lay my head down
to sleep at night
i wonder will i be alright?
will my depression just disappear?
will i awake with happy cheer?

All the fake smiles
they fool the best
all but one
the big guy upstairs
he knows the truth
he can see it in my eyes
my depression shines through
such is my life
