I Just Don't Care

* This is a song I wrote, turned it into a poem

Why should I care
All those times I cried
And you weren’t there
And I nearly died

Trying to get you to see
That I could n t go on
Unless you stood by me
I could never be strong

And now you cry
For some affection
You say you’d die
If faced with rejection

How things have turned
Well my love, my dear
Is something you never earned
All the times you were n t here

So listen now, I say it one time only
I don’t care, because you never did
And if I let you own me
You’d just make me look stupid

So it’s goodbye, forever
Too bad you saw too late
That we should be together
Cos I just didn’t wait

I got somebody new
Somebody who is there
So different from you
So, you see, I just don’t care.
