Longest drive

by Amanda Sloan   Jan 24, 2005

The longest drive i ever took
Was started with a single look
I knew this would last longer than a week or two
The moment my life ran into you
And i knew inside this would be the longest drive

The moment i drove.. far away
I felt my heart melt deep deep away

The longest drive i ever took
Left us stranded or so it would look
Every inch i sped faster
Convincing myself time was moving faster
If i kept moving, so would the clock
And the days would pass by
Blinding my mind
oh how I hate saying goodbye
The longest drive i ever took
I was left alone, open as a book
I left my heart with you, there was nothing more i could do
This enchanted boulevard
Was always reached from afar
Never did i imagine myself driving this slow.. on an empty road

Of course someday we'll drive again on our passionate road
And you will forever be mine

The longest drive i ever took
It took my life and my life it shook
The longest drive
The longest time
The day i met you and made you mine
