I hear a demon voice
I freeze the way I am
Then I hear it again
I look around.
As I'm looking around
I see nothing
Then I see a shadow on the wall
And I freeze once more.
The voice speaks again
And I try to understand its words
It's saying "don't be afraid."
I say "****, what the hell are you thinking?"
The voice stops and thinks
Then it says "I'm thinking that you're stupid."
I say "why, I'm not doing anything stupid."
The demon voice just laughs and then says, "yes you are. your here alone."
Out of the corner of my eye
I see something move
I look down at my feet
And wrapped around my feet is a rope.
Then I say " What the **** is going on?"
The voice doesn't respond
All I hear is breathing.
And it's not mine, because I stopped breathing.
I feel pressure on my ankles
Someone or something has pulled the rope tighter
I scream for help
But the demon voice only laughs at me.
I scream once more
And the voice said "don't bother, save your breath.'
The rope kept getting tighter
And I fell over from the pressure.
I asked "what are you doing to me?"
The voice said "planning your...."
The voice stopped
All I heard was "are you okay?"
The new voice was deeper and more gentle
I said "who are you?"
The voice said " all you need to know is that your safe"
I said "but what..?"
The voice said "shh it's okay calm down."
I started untying the rope
The voice said "the best thing for you to do.."
A pause " is to forget about this moment and everything that just happened."
The new voice helped me in some way
I never figured out who it was
But I tried to forget
But how could I when the voice saved my life.
