The Shadow Moon

Everything is night
The darkness silently grows
The moon shines with all it’s might
but it never gets brighter
A shadow covers all the sky
No light of star or moon
The wind may sigh
but still no light
The hours slip away
There is no dawn

The dark is here to stay
