The Night You Died

by Tyler Whitney   Jan 25, 2005

I remember the very night you died
your face was so beautiful on the day I cried

I remember our very last kiss
And it reminds me of everything I miss

Its so hard to understand that you're gone
After being my one and only for so long

I remember tucking you into bed at night
How sleeping next to made me feel so right

Turning over to see that lovely face
Memories that I can never erase

Watching your amazing smile
Staring into your eyes for awhile

Kissing those soft satisfying lips
As I hold my hands onto your hips

I will miss that girl I lost that day
The one that made all my pain okay

I was willing to back her no matter the cost
One that I truly thought would never be lost

I love you with all of my heart and not one bit to lack
I pray someday that my old baby will someday be back
