Silence of the Solemn Solitude

by Tyler Whitney   Jan 25, 2005

You're setting yourself up to get knocked down
and I can't be there to catch you when you fall
I wish you were able to realize all of this
But talking to you is like talking to a wall

It will be very hard not to cry when I see you hurt
To think I will not be there to wipe your eyes
All the pain that had to come between us
With all our promises which soon became lies

I can see right through you under that mask
I can see everything inside you that you're hiding
I don't know why you persist to do this
What is it that you feel that you are fighting?

I want to Show you that deep inside you are beautiful
and I wish I could take away all of your shame
Life is different than what you think my friend
because There is no winner in this big huge game

The cover you pull over yourself is ugly
Its lame and stupid and everyone can see right through
Search inside yourself and clear your mind from influence
Can't you see this person on the surface isn't really you?

There will be a time when your realization comes
I can promise you that you will understand some day
You don't understand that I'm trying to save you
But you don't listen to any word that I say

So from now until the day I die
I will pray for you night after night
And I will always be here when needed
Until the day you realize that I was right
