Virtual Games

I needed to talk to someone,
But no one was around,
I turned on my computer,
It made a beeping sound.

I logged onto a chat room,
starting talking to everyone,
when I got a private message,
We had a lot of fun.

He told me he was 17,
and that he was real nice,
We talked again, everyday,
and he gave me great advice.

I told him about my high school,
I told him what I liked,
It all seemed so perfect,
I was really psyched.

All of a sudden,
He started getting mean,
Kept forcing me to say things,
I wanted to stay unseen.

He said he was going to find,
and hunt me like a deer,
I started freaking out,
He was my real fear.

I blocked him that day,
Stayed away from the internet
I didn't tell anyone,
But, I was getting really upset.

For a while everything was fine,
I started forgetting about him,
My life was going good,
Until I was walking home from the gym.

I was walking alone,
when I heard someone behind me,
I yelled out to them,
But there was no one I could see.

Suddenly, A man,
Jumped on me,
He started screaming,
He sounded hurt,
I started to flee.

He told me that he loved me,
and I shouldn't run away,
For he will always find me,
He said he just wanted to play.

I ran as fast as I could,
But he brought me down,
I tried screamed for help,
But, he brought me to the ground.

He said he didn't want to,
do all this to me,
but it was the only way,
To set his mind free.

I told him it wasn't right,
then he pulled out a knife,
I tried to talk to him,
It was too late, he took my life.

He was a lonely man,
I was a lonely girl,
and now my internet life,
was going to unfurl.

Talking to strange people,
is like playing with the flames,
the fire is very hot,
when you're playing Virtual Games.
