I Love You

Loving someone seems simple,
something easy to do,
but why is it so hard,
just to say, "I love you?"

Is it because it is hard to express,
the way you feel inside,
or do you fear of being hurt,
so your heart keeps them to hide.

"I love you", is a powerful statement,
one of the most powerful known to man,
but why is it so hard to say?
I just can't seem to understand.

Maybe one day I'll find the answer,
to this question I've kept inside,
then I shall release these three small words,
in which I have to hide.

But, until that time comes,
and the words become due,
I'll be sitting here waiting,
to say, "I love you."
