You thought I loved him, If only you knew…
It wasn’t him I loved, it was you
I know it’s too late, I’ve lost you forever
Now I know we could never be together
Those words will always burn in my heart
They were a cold end to something we could never start
It was always her & never me
There was always someone else so you could never see
The way I looked at you, the smiles I gave
By the time you realized it, there was no one left to save
I fell into a deep sleep, never to awaken
Cuz no one can ever replace what you have taken.
