Tunnel

by Zachariah Jones   Jan 27, 2005

Turn away from the night sky
What used to comfort now hurts
Eternal dancing in the night
Nothing in this job seems right
Being a slave to my actions
Creating new feuds, different factions
Taking no more stress and strife
I want to get on with my life
Seeing the glow of the city below
I’m hurting deep within my soul
Haunted by your touch and your face
My heart begins to run it’s own race
Twisted in an internal battle
My insides shake, begin to rattle
The moon grows even huger
With my empty thoughts I really miss her
Pouring my soul out in a funnel
Slowly I see the light at the end of the tunnel
