I see a little girl i once knew
Who would laugh and love as we all do.
To her, tomorrows held promises of gold,
And dreams and dreams of never growing old.
I see a little girl growing older,
And as she grows her heart became colder.
For the laughter has been replaced by tears.
And now the days, they seem like years.
Dreaming can't make it go away,
For you're living tomorrow instead of today.
That brings hopes that may never be.
And that brings more crying, you see.
So she lives each day as if it were her last,
She still cries but it will all pass.
And someday she will truly be:
Somebody special, just wait and see.
