Graceful one

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 27, 2005

The world is full of wonder, and she wonders why I would call
But if she could see herself through my eyes she would not wonder at all
I wonder how much beauty she can see, by the mirror on the wall
I wonder if I should be careful not to stumble, careful not to fall

Oh mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
I have stolen her image like two lines from a song,
And I wonder if it is right or if it is wrong

For what is beauty? Is it not sacred art?
Do not my words come from my heart?
Does not my heart know every song of love ever sung?
And if the Creator , rings a bell how can it be unrung?

Her very name means graceful, and the rhythm of her movement adorns her lovely grace
Much in the same way her beautiful golden curls adorns her lovely face
She smiles with a smile that is very warm
Sometimes at the creature void of form

And so the creature dreams of the wine in which he would love to drown
with little fear of climbing out of his small valley until the landslide brings him down
