The Right Friend

Friendship started with our secrets and jokes
With the whispers and laughs between you and me
Friendship is just us two
It’s what we’ll look back on and see

It’s when you were the shoulder
I leaned on and I cried
The hand that I held
The friend that always tried

It’s because you were always there
And you always understood
Even if I was wrong
You made me happy in every way you could

You’re the one that made me see a lot of the truth
The things I’ve been doing wrong
The one that made me realize life isn’t perfect
But with the right friend it’ll go by like a song
