Hate

I hate the world, I hate myself.
I hate the pain and grief
So much of society
Fuelled by a false belief

Lies in the media
Lies in the home
Lies can turn love to hate
And leave children crying alone

And the hate I hate
Is unjust, also
We can’t carry on hating …
But our hate will never go.
