Where am I?

This is my last demand
Can someone please tell me
Where I am?

I walk an endless mile
Signs telling me one more to go
They run down the road one after another

I’m a stranger to my own door key
It’s in my pocket but unlocks nothing
Looking for a door that doesn’t exist

Nothing but sand to my right
And nothing but vultures to my left
Ahead nothings but dust

The rain always pours in the sun
Heated drops on my face
Sweating underneath the rain

On the way I see children playing
I pass them by and they all stop to stare
And each one looks down and turns away

This is my last demand
Can someone please tell me
Where I am?
