My condolences

by Ashley   Jan 28, 2005

My condolences they say,
But no one really means it.
They don’t feel your pain,
They feel pity,
And that is lame.
In this game we call life,
No one wins,
But everyone puts up a fight.
This fight can cost you your life.
Everyone tries,
But everyone dies.

When someone dies they say “my condolences”,
But you see,
It’s just said out of pity.
No one really cares when someone dies,
Unless they knew them,
Then they cry.

When my grandma died everyone told me how sorry they where,
But no one meant it.

When you die,
Sure I’ll say “my condolences”,
But will I mean it?
Who knows?

Everyone gets hurt in there lives,
Everyone dies,
And everyone cries.
How many people really care is the question?
Who knows any more?
My condolences are all on the floor.

Amazingly well put, i liked how you put the fact that "no one cares if you die, only the closest of kin" type deal, i love that and it is really a great poem.
