She Acted Fine

The last day of her life, she acted like it was a normal day. She acted fine. Everything was ok. Said her goodbyes nothing important, but deep inside she could no longer stand the torment.
Ran home, tears in her eyes. Wrote some notes, saying her real goodbyes. Set it all up, knowing its almost time. How were they to know? she acted fine.
Next day found her dead. Also found notes laying on her bed. Her parents cry into each other, alone in a corner stands her little brother. "But she acted fine!" they cry out "I guess all this time she was lien!"
They misunderstood her, and treated her wrong. She thought she had explained it all in a song..."Suicide the only way out, I choose death over crying with out a doubt. A life without a soul is just plain wrong. I have lived this life far too long..."
But they could not see, blinded by their games of putting her down. Always trying to have her keep that frown. "But she acted fine..." they say in a wavy voice, "We had no idea we gave her that choice.."
Nothing left. But a grave. So many respects sorrowfully paid. She hid it well, no one knew, not till it was over, not till it was all through... Living she had tried, her depression always denied. Now she has left them far behind. This girls story is actualy mine... But how were you to know? I acted fine....
