Your Trophy

YOUR TROPHY
Forget it all; this is way too much
Are you happy now? I’m giving up.
Take a bow, you’ve won.
You broke my heart.

You played your game, and you played it well
You tore me apart, and you know you did
You watched me fall.
Good job, I deserved it.

You broke this ‘strong girl’ who I always was
Ya, you have the pieces, you should be proud
You shattered her life.
Now you own her soul.

Look at this beautiful mess you’ve created
Don’t these scars just make you smile?
C’mon, I know they do.
This is your joy.

I’ll give you your trophy; I hope you place it on a shelf
For all the world to see as you proudly display it
As a sign of your victory.
Here, you can have my life.

I don’t need it anymore.
