Walls

by Sinister Soire   Jan 31, 2005

I watch the walls around me crumble
As the light it grows and fades
I watch the old men grow and stumble
As the children pass through grades

I watch the clouds above me growing
As the storm prepares to break
I watch the trees quiver without showing
As the strength before they shake

I watch the families run to the indoors
As the boiling turns to thunder
I watch the clouds about my chores
As disaster turns to blunder

I watch the torment break out mayhem
As the pouring rain breaks free
I watch the fearful sing an anthem
As the drenching wall devoirs me

I watched the walls around me crumble
As they the souls that are condemned
I watched the once grand walls tumble
As I know how I can again them mend
