Falling

by Tiffany   Jan 31, 2005

Falling into darkness,
with no regret.
She has no reason to live.
No one cares for her,
no one loves her,
no one knows she exists.
So she keeps falling.
Slipping away,
until no one can find her
Nobody hears her
silent screams,
as she takes in
her last breath.
She's gone,
disconnected from the world,
when suddenly,
her body feel a jolt,
and her heart begins
to beat once more.
Her eyes open,
and the room is clear.
It felt more like a dream,
but it was to real.
Her mother hugs her
and says she's glad,
she's still alive.
Even though she lived,
she longs for the
feeling of falling
once more.

For some strange reason, this reminds me of that song 'the freshmen' by verve pipe. Love that song, love your poem. Awesome.
