Dreaming Today

I wake up every morning
A brand new day to me
I guess we\'ll wait and see
Just what today will be?

I get up every morning
With promise in my eyes
Await each new surprise
The choices that arise

Today I put my foot down
I’m ganna change my ways
No matter what they say
It is a brand new day

Today I make a difference
My words will sway the crowd
I’ll speak my mind out loud
No use in backing out

Today I’m ganna show em\'
Just you wait and see
How tough that I can be
Just try and mess with me

Today I will stay focused
I won’t let my mind stray
I won’t day dream today
I can’t day dream today

Today I will be noticed
Today they\'ll see my face
No longer out of place
Not gone without a trace

Today I woke up dreaming
What will I change today?
I guess i couldn't say
I dreamt my day away
