Grandma Dee

The last thing i remember
was heading out for school
why didn't i stay home with you,
God im such a fool

It was after school that i found out
that you had passed away
a few moments after i had left
to go to school that day

My mother found you lying down
but when she called your name
you didn't make a sound

The day is here,
time to say goodbye
but forever you will stay
a star in my sky
