Devastating Tragedy

by Joey   Feb 2, 2005

My son was in a car accident
Never knowing this would happen
He was known for his intellectual advice
Never once did he get into a fight
He was nice and shy at times
But he would always look you straight in your eyes
So you would know he didn’t lie
Now cam the day to go to court
Everyone was there to show their support.
The police report that was written
Said that the driver was under the influence
But the defendant plead insanity
Getting absolutely no justice for our family
Finally the jury came to agree
That the defendant was GUILTY!
He is sentenced to 40 years-life
Most likely not making it out alive.
Why couldn’t that man have been sober?
If he were my sons life wouldn’t be over
He could be alive and walking
He could be alive and talking
But instead
I wake up every morning knowing he’s dead!

Wow!! This is really sad. My daddy used to drink and drive and that was one thing I used to tell him. I was always worried about all the inicident people out there while we were out. But this is something they all need to realize. Great job.
