The loss

I see you slowly fading
your time is wearing thin
without you in my life
my world begins to spin

your eyes are closing slowly
your heart will beat no more
your soul will soon be walking
towards that glowing door

the time has arrived
you seem to have slipped away
so many poems i need to speak
so many things i need to say

you have been gone for awhile now
but it gets harder every day
i would have given anything
if god would've let you stay
