A HEART**~

A heart was placed in my hands
it was given willingly, it made no demands
it offered me nothing but love
it was my little miracle, sent from above

a heart was entrusted to me
i never know how tough it could be
to protect something so fragile but great
to take care of something that could easily break

a heart was relinquished for the first time
it was relinquished to me to flourish and find
to find the happiness that comes with true love
to grow into something more special that a dove

a heart was in love for a great time
a heart that was so happy and kind
it was floating high above the clouds
it was in love and had absolutely no doubts

a heart confessed its pure, undying love
a love that needed to be returned and fulfilled
it was told it was loved my me
and that only together could we really be free

a heart loved me was placed in my hands
but i tripped
i dropped it
it broke
