That's life

by nikki @~~   Feb 2, 2005

The silence fills the shadows
echoes fill my mind
as the blackness whirls by me
I've got nothing left but time.
Eternity in a second,
a stolen moment from the hands of time
Everything ends before we start it
Life's here to live, but livin's a crime.
So let the sand fall all around you,
build a castle from your tears,
memories are nothing but illusions
there to chase away your fears.
And through the screaming of the wind
Over the pounding of the rain,
cry your soul and spirit to the heavens,
We'll lose this one but it'll be a b*i*t*c*h of a game.
Stop praying for the answers,
they won't save you from crossing that line,
What's ahead is scarier than what's behind you,
Stop looking for the signs.
Fate is randomly playing the cards now,
Destiny's left us all to fate,
we can't erase the past -
and we hate those we love, and we love the one's we hate.
Cross your fingers and close your eyes tight
Hold your breath and keep so still,
Life'll never hand you any free-bee's,
but sometimes if you're lucky, chance will.
So fill the silence with the sounds of shadows,
Try and justify wrong as right,
This is the story you need, but no one'll ever tell you,
but hey, that's life.
