He's Gotta Live

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Feb 2, 2005

He hides alone
In the dark of the cemetery
At his mother's head stone

His pale face
Streaked with tears
This is the safest place

Where he can be
With his mother
He hopes she can see

How well he's holding on
Cos though he wants to join her
He’s trying to be strong

So many times he laid
Out his wrist
Beneath a blade

But in his young head
He remembers if his mom hadn't done it
He would be dead

She saved his life that night
When the drunk driver came speeding
She pushed him with all her might

But ended up, herself being dead
So every time he wants to die,
He knows, HE MUST LIVE INSTEAD

Otherwise she died in vain
So he must make her proud
He has to fight this pain.
