I just found out today
that now in the ground
is where you lay
we never got to hang out much
but you were still one of my good friends
I just wish I could see you again
even if it were just to say goodbye
I wonder if you are one of the stars up in the sky
and while I look up I ask god why
why did you have to die
I will always remember the times after work when we would all party and get high
if I could go back in time and hang out with you more I would
when I found out today, in shock is how I stood
I couldn't believe it and even now it's hard
you never think that something like that will happen to you or one of your friends
and then when it does it's as if your life ends
it will never be the same without you
and I'm sure I speak for all the others too
I always thought you were pretty cute
I can't even begin to imagine you in a suit
I picture you in your vans or converse
if I would've known today was your funeral
showing up to it I would have been the first
today started off being a good one
but now it's the worst and it's no longer any fun
I think of your face
and hope that your soul is in a good place
because I hope to see you again my friend
so now before I go to bed and turn off my light
I'll raise up a peace sign
and to you I will say goodnight

this is dedicated to my friend brad mcintosh who died in a car accident last time it snowed...you will be missed dearly my friend.
