This Ring

by Robert   Feb 3, 2005

A symbol of my love in a band of gold,
Never to be wavered never to be sold.
A gift that I hold in my hand for life,
With this bond I make as my wife.
Let us exchange these like all lovers do,
Or at least the ones that know their love is true.
Grant me the time of day to confess to you what all my heart,
Grant me the time in our life where a family of ours can start.
Let me show you that I cannot only provide but love and heal,
Let me make you happiness be my undying will.
I ask of this and so much more,
I ask this like so many nervous men have done before.
Realize it is my heart and love on the line,
So please say yes and toast our wedding with a glass of wine.
Let our friends and family join us in the joy that our love would bring,
Show the world you love, me by wearing this ring.
