Good- Bye

We stand here today,
For the hard work that we did,
For the friends and enemies we made,

We made it through pain,
We experienced death of a classmate,
We remember them today,
Because they should be here to also celebrate,

This is probably the last time you may see each other again,
We’ll all go our separate ways,
Dreams will be reached,
Dreams will be shattered,
New dreams will come, setting new goals to follow,

Look to your left,
See someone you might never see again,
Look to your right,
Their future is uncertain,

Think of your first best friend,
And how you drifted apart,
Think of your current best friend,
And how someday they might be the same,

Think of all the memories,
And how they might be replaced,
Think of all the jokes and laughter,
And may you forever carry it with you,

Hard times will come, but they will be replaced,
Pray for the happiness you dream of to forever stay,
Hopefully the hard work and test, the homework and the lectures,
Really do pay off like they say,

It’s time to say good-bye,
To the class of 2008,
May dreams come true,
And success be with you.
