Pain from Deep Within

I moan from agony, every time I see you with him
I can’t bear the sight, of you with someone else
It seemed like only last night, when you were with me
All I want you to know, is that I am feeling pain,
Deep within me

I glance, and I tear, and try not to show it
I look, and my heart sinks down, I don’t want you to know it
Your lips are dangerous, because you shared your love with me
Through them
And now they are secreting love words to another

I look across, and there you are, and I look to the side
I look straight ahead, and there he is, so I look behind
You were never the person I thought you were,
Because it hurts when I see you with him

With every echo of your voice, I sink down further
Further down into the quicksand, which is your love
The one in which I fell for in the beginning,
And now I cannot escape

This pain, that emanates from deep within
Is driving me crazy every time I try to forget you
I look down in depression, and I see you in the reflection
I look above, and I remember the time you made my heart soar.

I loved it when you were with me
When you loved me
When you phoned me
When we shared our agony

And those are the things,
Which keep stabbing my heart
It is afraid to beat again
Because now it believes, it can’t

This pain, from so deep within me
Has got to go
Too many times, you have lured me back to you
And it just keeps making the pain grow

I see you in the distance, and I look away…

    Sounds like this girl really got to your heart..... I know how that feels, and it hurts like hell. But at least you know she isn't for you. It's difficult, but be patient, and you'll find another to love. Someone who deserves you. Try not to scrutinize it in your mind, and when you least expect it, love will surprise you in ways you never thought were possible.........

    This is my new favorite poem. Im not kidding! This is exactly what Im going through except with my ex boyfriend. This was an excellent write and I can tell that it comes from your heart. Your feelings are very well felt.... lol! Good job.
