If Only

If only we made some effort,
To keep our relationship alive,
We may not have been in this situation,
Hurting and feeling every reason to cry,

I don’t know how to get through the day,
I only wish I sad something more,
Before this decision was made,
And my body became sore,

I want to tell you how much I love you,
And how much you truly mean to me,
But it’s to late now,
As you’re all I can see,

You’re gone today but when I see you’re sweet face,
I know I’m just going to break down and cry,
Wondering what could have been if I didn’t make so many mistakes,
I will forever have this lonely feeling and coldness inside.
