Lint The Enemy Is Everywhere

by Robert   Feb 5, 2005

You find it on the floor or under a rug,
it’s being traveled by on every living bug.
You suck it up and hope that it would never return,
but as the wind blows it becomes more of your concern.
You try to put it in the trash and close the lid tight,
but just when guests come over it’s the only thing in sight.
A broom, a mop, even the vacuum all are supposed to do the job,
but hey look a dust bunny man you’re a slob.
No matter where you go what you do the war rages on another day,
for the menace is small, plenty and come in shades of gray.
What can you do what really can you ever say,
for this particle hell just wants to play.
Dust bunnies, dirt, small rocks, even lint it all mean the same,
and to have it wander around your house is a cleaning person’s shame.
Call it what you must call it what you will,
I would stop until all lint is removed for that’s my living thrill.
Vacuum, in hand and glassed to see,
you may run you little bastards but you will never be free from me!!!

lol wonderful poem! i would have never thought about making a poem about lint, have made one about pot pans, but it was a huge metaphor and people always gave me weird looks about it lol. wonderful, creative and different idea!
