Unwise wishes

by SammiBABY   Feb 6, 2005

She sits by the window and prays to god above,
she doesn’t ask for richness, for fame or even love,
She pleads not for beauty, no typical selfish demand,
instead all she wants is a helping hand.
She wants to get on with her life and be rid of her despair
she wants to be happy again and for people to start being fair.
she has lived her life wishing she was someone else,
living somewhere else, she just did not want to be her self.
so she was swept up into depressions trap,
She wished a wish so strong, she never can turn back.
She’s fought by people good and evil, feeling so scared,
She complained about her old life thinking no one cared.
It was not true, but it took this world for her to realize,
That this girl belonged in the world living with teary eyes.

So screamed and screamed down the winding track,
“I don’t want this anymore, I take the wish back.”
she was warped home, were she was always meant to be,
She had escaped a terrible world, she was once again happy!
She lives how she did, going to school, doing the dishes,
But now she refrains from those unwise wishes

Yes, I realize that this is loosely based on the theme of our rock eisteddfod last year. I would like to say, no i did not write the story but i did write this poem.

Great poem it is quite sad in a way but also shows hope the rhyming scheme is good as well!
