There is wanting you and then there is having you
A predominant separation between the two
The want is overwhelming, I appear somewhat deficient
Then having you I’m content and my life seemingly sufficient.
The need, the urge burns within me to a crisp like fire
An endless hunger to feed and deeply hidden desire
To hold you is completeness, within me a fulfilled satisfaction
I’m possessed and compelled lost in my infatuation.

There is being with you and then there is being your partner
Devotion through think and thin, there to share tears and laughter
Adjoining our lives and creating so much more love and joy
The birth of our first, your baby son, my darling boy.
I though just to be near that none could compare
But you’ve brought me so much more happiness in the life that we share
I’ll always be there; you can depend on me by your side
Open and honest as your partner with not a thing to hide.

There is loving you and then there is being loved by you
Because falling for you was so easy for me to do
There has been no other stronger or more passionate affection
I see my future and my everything, in your eyes reflection.
For you I am foolish, no person can make me see reason
