Misery

by Kelly   Feb 7, 2005

Gather round kids,
for now I will tell you a story about a girl
named Misery.
There once was a girl named Misery,
Now she seemed like an ordinary girl like you or me,
But inside of her heart she was different.
Misery had constant thoughts running through her mind,
She never talked to anyone but herself,
Torn into pieces by everyone she had loved.
Everyday she was tormented by her peers,
grabbing her books and pushing her down,
She never did anything but pick herself up and go on her way.
Nobody saw her cry in the dark of her room,
Sitting in her chair she pulled the cold silver razor across her wrist,
Releasing her pain for the night.
One day when she could no longer take the torment,
She ran into her kitchen and grabbed the biggest knife she could find,
Into her bathroom she retreated and turned on the water.
In her room under her mattress she grabbed a paper,
A paper that explained everything she felt for so long,
Running back into the bathroom
She turned the the faucet off and grabbed the knife
With it she sat in the bathtub and drug it across her wrist for the last time.
On that paper her mother found everything she had feared,
A suicide note from her only child.
