This is for my best friend...thanks for being there for me and I'm really sorry about what I've done but I hope you'll understand

I just wanted to say I'm sorry
For some stupid things I've done;
I wasn't going to tell you, but my conscience has won.

I loved you like a brother,
And perhaps a little more,
But I'll try not to be too sad
If you tell me to walk right out the door.

The computer was my lifeline,
I had to talk to you everyday,
But one night I got into a fight with my dad,
And he took it all away.

And then what he did
Sort of put me in a trance:
He took away my first ever
Semi-Formal Dance.

But the next thing was worse:
Out of my dreams he threw
My trip to Switzerland,
With the skies and lakes tinted the same colour blue.

I was in such a state of distress,
That I cut myself that night,
And I'm sorry I broke my promise,
But I've given up my fight.

I want you to break your promise
That you would harm yourself too;
You are a man of great honesty,
But this is one thing not to hold true.

I'll always hate myself
For not staying true,
But please, I'm begging,
Don't take it out on you.

My love for you is my life,
Not countable in days,
And everytime I'm near you,
The world around us begins to haze.

You're a brother, a lover,
And a best friend for me,
But Hunni, please don't do it,
I want you to be free.
