Mentioned of this time and everything I’ve known.
Forever mine…
These memories my myriad bride sires…

My lone salvation a violet-haired Sappho, as Thales spread his innovation I have done my spread of blood.
A professed one over mine notoriety I have drawn, accused of Vrykolakas.

Slander underway the prime has heard, an amassed superstition has lured their perilous sin.
Slaked of myth my eyes have gone before me…as shadows stir herein my ghosts hath kept.

To a time that’s just begun…

Yielding providence, given of my will a strange and lonely sun…become of mine eternity, a perilous creed endured
Nefarious since my legend‘s breadth, their zealous claim began.

Here my grave at Lesbos, there risen from her ashes…

    Indeed. In fact, since this one was more impulsive than the others I started assuming a female's narration, however, as I'm wont to do, I crossed over at some point to one of a male.

    I suppose it's because of my bias toward men? I create myself a mystery, and not only the readers.

    I enjoyed this one greatly. Though admittedly, despite the references to Sappho and Lesbos, the narration of the poem felt more masculine than feminine, and I couldn't help wonder what nuance might have been brought with more feminine a voice evinced.

    The title stands for "vampire" Greek.
    And the poem's about his memories in Lesbos, an island of Archaic Greece.

    I'll definitely check that out, "confusion" I mean.
