Will it End?

When I’m sitting alone
That’s when I’m thinking
What’s the world coming to?
When will it end?

Will we all drown?
Or will we all freeze?
Will it be quick, will it happen at all?
Won’t you just tell me, please?

As I’m sitting here pondering
I’m getting nowhere at all
Wishing my life away
As my thoughts crawl

If it all ends, I’m ready
I can adjust; I’ll keep my hands steady
I’ve done all I can but is it enough?
