Always A Friend

by Jessy   Feb 7, 2005

The world around us is changing.
We are both aging.
Does the scare me?
To tell the truth not really.
I know that I always have a friend in you.
To me this is nothing new.

We might see each other less.
We might seem to be in a mess.
Yet whenever I need a shoulder to cry on, You will be there before the next dawn.
I know that I always have a friend in you.
I hope to be there for you too.

When something exciting takes place. I know that you be next to me with a smile on your face.
When I have a heart brake,
You will listen to me for my sake.
I know that I always have a friend in you.
If only you knew all the things you do.

So remember when you are down
To call me, so I can help take away your frown.
I'll be there in the blink of an eye.
Before you can even sigh.
Because you can always find a friend in me.
For you I'm always free.

No matter how far apart
Our friendship will never turn tart.
Hearts will be close together
Floating down like a feature.
We can always find a friend in each other.

Great job! Thanks so much for your comments on my poetry! They were honestly appreciated. You're a very talented poet yourself and I hope to read more of your work later on.
