Loves me not

She loves me………she loves me not
She loves me………she loves me not.

She...why am I sitting on top of this hill
Plucking and pulling up wild daffodils
Then laying them out all in a row?
Why did she leave me, where did she go?
Saturday, Sunday, she promised to stay
Monday come Tuesday what a beautiful day.
Rides on the water, walks after dark,
Picnics on the riverbank down in the park.
Shopping and restaurants, I bought her a cake!
All of the memories, what else did she take?
Watching her sleeping, brushing her hair,
Little bits of her are around everywhere.
She said that she loves me, but loves me not,
She took me and used me. now what have I got?
I loved and I worshipped the ground where she walked
Now if I could only find her to talk.
Above is the sky, this is the ground
I would give anything just to have her around.
Yes she loves me, but what have I got
Only one more daffodil….she loves me not.
