A girl of only five was locked away,
to be used for her fathers pleasure.
Each day he'd use her and beat her,
leaving her with more bruises and cuts.
He blamed her for her mother leaving,
so now she takes what her father gives her.
She never sheds a tear when she was being beaten or raped,
because she become use to the pain.
When she became twelve,
her father let his friends have fun with her.
She would try to get away,
but they'd hold her down and take what they want.
No one around her seemed to notice,
the pain that shined in her eyes.
She never got close to anyone,
for fear they'd be like her father.
Everyday at school she'd never talk,
she was an angel trapped in hell.
Then she met Mike who wanted to know her,
to see what she was like underneath her appearance.
He'd walk her home but she never talked,
he didn't care he would just stare at her.
For four years he would walk her home,
and he always knew there was something wrong.
She may not have talked to him,
but he could tell she loved him.
Now all he wanted to do was find out what was wrong,
so he could chase away the pain still in her eyes.
So one night he watched through the window,
and what he saw made his blood run cold.
He saw his precious one screaming,
from underneath a man moaning.
Silently he watched as one man left,
to be replaced by another.
All Mike saw was red,
his body full of anger.
Finally the last one left,
and Cori was not moving.
Silently Mike climbed through the window,
and made his way toward her.
He looked to see her breathing,
but her eyes would not open.
He kissed her gently on the forehead,
and whispered everything will be fine.
Next day he walked her home like every other day,
and when they reached her house he watched her close the door.
He ran home quickly,
to grab his fathers gun.
He reached the window just in time,
to watch Cori's father hit her.
He lost all reasoning at that point,
all he knew was death.
He knocked the door down,
and with one shot Cori's dad went down.
Silently he held her close to his heart,
and promised there and then nothing would happen to her ever again.
