One night we came together
for such a brief period of time
I wished it was forever
how I wanted you to be mine.

Your eyes aglow with fire
your lips pressed soft on mine
intense feelings you inspire
as my heart begins to shine.

Old feelings inside me burn
I fight them off half hearted
